In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we will bring together over 100 youth from across the city to discuss the issue of violence -- how it affects young people, and how young people can be a force for change and peace. Attendees will explore the root causes and impact of youth violence in Chicago, and begin to work on ideas to create peaceful communities throughout the city. Community leaders, city officials, and public safety issue experts are invited to share their expertise on the issue, answer questions, and hear youth ideas. Youth will then learn about how to apply for the Youth Peace Grant program, to implement their ideas to reduce violence in our communities.

We look forward to your participation!
