Winning entries will be selected by a panel of youth and police officer “judges” and will be used to create a mural that highlights the beauty and strength that exists in our YMCA communities. All eligible photo submissions will be featured in a community gallery exhibit, and all contestants will be invited to attend gallery exhibits, work days for the mural creation and the mural unveiling ceremony!

Both the gallery exhibits and the mural unveilings will serve as community forums where participants explore past, present, and future relationships between young people and law enforcement in their communities. At every step in the process, relevant stories from participants will be collected and to be presented back to the larger public as a downloadable album.
