At Shedd Aquarium, our mission is to connect people to the living world and inspire them to make a difference, and our public relations team is dedicated to supporting this mission. During a special workshop in the Teen Learning Lab, Shedd’s public relations team will share insight on what it’s like to be a part of their fast paced, media-loving environment. Their team will share some public relations campaigns and projects that have happened at Shedd, such as the “See Red” campaign that teamed up with the Chicago Bulls, and the “Waddle it Be” campaign that announced the name and gender of Shedd’s newest baby rockhopper penguin, and allow teens to come up with their own creative campaign. The workshop will help aspiring communicators tap into the public relations industry and get hands-on experience with the help of PR professionals.

When: Thursday June 12, 2014, 3:00pm-5:00pm
Where: Teen Learning Lab at Shedd Aquarium
